The Wines

Passion and craftsmanship

Making wine is a combination of science, technique, art and craftsmanship.

It’s intuition. It is devotion and suffering at the same time and all year round, from spring to spring.

It is heeding the natural cycle of the vineyard and taking care of wine production, marketing, communication and, to a certain extent, the service.

It is an infinite circle of decisions taken with awareness and conviction, always accompanied by manual work. It’s the hands that choose the grapes, fill out and empty the tanks, barrels and bottles, place the capsules and wax on to the bottles and label the wines.

Our wines always reveal Imma personal imprint and reflect the precious time spent. They are designed as one-of-a-kind creations, and their aromas and flavours inevitably speak of courage, hope and boldness.

This is the starting point for our single-varietal wines that employ a different winemaking technique for each wine.

We work with Trepat, Macabeo and Parellada — grape varieties with a distinctive personality and appeal —, and we strive to make sure the resulting wines do not only reflect this but also make each of them shine.

Crafting the wines

Our philosophy at Mas de la Pansa is to let the grape variety shine in all its direct and honest expression.

The stories behind the labels

These artworks, created ad hoc to speak of the landscape.

Symbols with stories behind them, that tell us about the close link between Mas de la Pansa and winegrowing tradition.

The oak is the image of the
Trepat Sparkling Rose Wine

The Oak is the image of the Trepat Sparkling Rose Wine

Sitting on top of a small hill, it is a true landmark in Mas de la Pansa. This slender legend of a tree stoically endures the passing of time and the change of the seasons. Wherever you look, between vineyards, you can always see it. It is the symbol of the roots of our project in the Alt Camp.

The plow is the image for Parellada White Wine

The plow is one of the farmer’s essential tools. One needs it to make furrows, dig, plant, or grow produce. We have to take good care of it: the winegrower’s hands, heart and head all need it to work the land.

The Grape carrier is the image of the Macabeu Orange Wine

With this image, we aim to capture the stories and adventures that our grandfather has always shared with us. It is a key element in all the memories of past harvests.

The Red Vermell Horse is the image of the Trepat red Wine

This is a tribute to Vermell, the horse that saved the life of Imma Soler’s father when he was only 3 years old. Her grandfather on her father’s side was working in the field, when Vermell stopped in his tracks. He would refuse to continue the row. The grandfather insisted, but luckily, the horse did not heed his orders. He wouldn’t do it because at his feet he saw the little boy, Soler’s father. Thanks to his astuteness, today the scare has become an endearing story to share.

The Tree Blossom is the image of the Trepat Sweet Wine

The vineyard coexists with a rich and diverse agricultural mosaic, marked by olive and fruit trees: hazelnut, almond, peach… In spring they all bloom, filling the green vine landscape with a symphony of colors. The almond tree blossom stands for resurgence, life and hope. It is a proof of the fact that, no matter what, everything always begins anew.

THE BLACK LABEL

Original and informative at the same time, it represents the natural cycle of the grape and the resulting wine.

he bottom line highlights four different stages: growth (of the grape), fermentation, maturation (on the lees) and barrel ageing (of the wine). The upper one tells the dates of budding, véraison, harvest and bottling. It shows Imma Soler’s will to be transparent and precise in communicating her wine journey.
